On the Way to Open Innovation

Innovations are like people: they are born, they continuously grow, they saturate, and decline. In the past 15 years, a product’s life cycle has shortened fourfold. At the same time, 6 out of 7 innovation projects never reach the market. This means innovation is more essential than ever, but also remains rather risky.

As an observer, enthusiastic and catalyst in different domains – intrapreneurship, entrepreneurship, innovation, social and technologies – Mathieu Menet facilitates the sharing of ideas, experience and knowledge that lead to innovative projects and new business developments. In his presentation at the Lean Innovation Forum 2016, Mathieu described the key takeaways from LEMO’s sources of inspiration, such as Montessori education, why LEMO chose Lean Startup as their innovation method and what tools and environment the company created to motivate its employees to get them to innovate.
