INDUSTRIAL WORKSHOP 2013

Industrial cases, university research and a debate on important common Lean PD challenges.

The LeanPD Industrial Workshop took place on 3 September 2013 in
Lausanne, Switzerland organised by the Lean Analytics Association (LAA) and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lasanne (EPFL). LAA, which aims at helping companies improving their product development performance by offering several ways to learn, improve, and network has been formally launched during the event.

Nine speakers from companies, universities and research institutions presented different trends and challenges of Lean Product Development.

Participants attended from 22 companies from different industrial sectors such as aerospace, automotive, electrical, safety products, sensors, energy, luxury jewellery and watches, home appliances, marine and energy, food, education and industrial research.

At the end of the workshop the participants have debated about important and common challenges faced by industry. Participants agreed on existing challenges regarding leadership, skills, knowledge, culture and most importantly the customer.
