The Lean Product Development Best Practices Discovery Project 2016 kicked-off in March 2016 with an online kick-off meeting. At the kick-off meeting, the participants from 5 participating companies had an opportunity to virtually meet each other for the first time and briefly present the advancements and current level of their lean product development.

In the period after the kick-off meeting, LAA team traveled to the sites of all participating companies to document not only their best practices but also companies’ lean product development journeys from the very early steps and up to today.
The collected information was then formulated in a series of individual cases that are at the moment being converted in a Lean Product Development Best Practices Book (Part II). The book will be available in spring 2017. You can pre-order your copy here.
Each individual case describes company’s best practice in great detail, also including an executive summary and a brief company introduction. Lean practitioners who have already walked the lean journey have provided detailed and valuable insights including lessons learned that are reflecting on their Lean Product Development journey.
